100 Days Until The Vancouver Olympics

When we think of Vancouver, British Columbia, the first thing that comes to mind is: “Isn’t that the city where all those Sci-Fi TV series are filmed because it’s cheaper?”
Although it is indeed true that many Sci-Fi TV series past and present (Stargate, Smallville, The X-Files, V, Battlestar Galactica, Sliders, Eureka, etc.) used Vancouver as their production sites, in 100 days the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games will kick off, bringing with it 5,500 athletes and officials, and 1.6 million available tickets.
If the athletes don’t enter the stadium via spaceships or intergalactic wormholes, I’ll be very disappointed…
