“Yeild” to Traffic
by thetodaynews on Feb.24, 2010, under Uncategorized
An astute reader of ours (I know, that surprised us too!) took this photograph of a misspelled “Yield” sign on a drop-off box at the Post Office in Willowick, Ohio.
Maybe the spelling guideline of “I before E, except after C …” should be added as a question on the post office Civil Service Exam?
The Leviathan of Luxury: Oasis of the Seas
by thetodaynews on Nov.16, 2009, under Uncategorized

The world’s largest cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas, has arrived in her home port of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
This bohemoth of a luxury liner can carry 6,360 passengers, and contains surf machines, volleyball and basketball courts, ice rinks, a miniature golf course and an 82ft zipline which speeds adventurers diagonally across the open air atrium 9 decks above the Boardwalk. There are even two 43ft-high climbing walls. 32 inches is the size of the screen of the smallest television set onboard. Everything about this ship is big!
I wonder if we can write a check and just live there permanently!
